We are a Swiss family business with many years of experience in the watchmaking industry. The company's origins date back to the early 20th century. At that time, leather products were manufactured in Zurich under the name "Leder Locher." Later, the business operated under the name "Wohlmann Uhrbänder." In 2007, the company was renamed Gino Hug Uhrenband AG following the acquisition of Gino Hug. Following Manuel Hug's entry into the company, the name was slightly adjusted again and has since been Hug Uhrband AG.
In 2015, our company relocated from Rennweg to Gutstrasse in Zurich due to lack of space. Severin Hug has also been part of our family business since 2017. We are proud of our steady growth and development: In 2018, we acquired the long-established watch strap brand Rhein Fils, which has stood for first-class quality and exclusive design in St. Imier since 1913. Since 2021, the management has been in the hands of Manuel and Severin Hug, who continue the legacy of their father, Gino Hug, with great dedication and experience. Our family-run structure, combined with speed and flexibility, makes us a reliable partner for demanding clients. At our Zurich location, we currently employ six people who work passionately and expertly to ensure your satisfaction every day.
Hug Uhrband AG is pleased to announce the acquisition of the renowned German manufacturer Di-Modell from Tauberbischofsheim, Baden-Württemberg, in 2024. With this step, we are significantly strengthening our position in the watch strap market and expanding our know-how with valuable expertise from a long-established manufacturer.
